As Global Category Leader you will be responsible for defining and executing global category strategies for Consulting and Financial Services, while playing a pivotal role in transforming Indirect Procurement from a sufficient, transactional function into a digitally enabled, industry-leading strategic capability.

You will combine category management with transformation ownership, driving governance, value creation, digital adoption, and advanced ways of working across global Indirect Procurement.

Key Responsibilities:

Category Strategy & Value Leadership

  • Develop and execute global category strategies for Consulting and Financial Services aligned with corporate strategy, transformation agendas, and financial goals
  • Build multi-year value creation roadmaps that move beyond savings to include productivity, risk reduction, speed to market, and innovation
  • Introduce advanced category management practices and global standards to elevate overall Indirect Procurement maturity

Indirect Procurement Transformation & Maturity Uplift

  • Act as a collaborative driving influence in evolving Indirect Procurement from "sufficient" to best-in-class, embedding strategic sourcing, demand management, and value governance
  • Define and implement global governance frameworks, intake models, and approval workflows to increase transparency and control
  • Drive consistent adoption of global category strategies across regions while respecting business-critical local needs
  • Mentor regional teams and help build advanced commercial, analytical, and stakeholder-management capabilities

Digitalization & Data-Driven Procurement

  • Manage the digital enablement of Consulting and Financial Services procurement
  • Improve spend visibility and decision-making through data-driven insights, dashboards, and predictive analytics
  • Partner with Procurement Transformation, IT, and Finance to automate processes and improve user experience
  • Leverage digital solutions to enable outcome-based pricing models, demand forecasting, and supplier performance management

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Ecosystem Management

  • Manage complex, high-value strategic sourcing initiatives, including global RFPs and commercial negotiations
  • Design and manage a strategic supplier ecosystem, balancing global partnerships with niche and innovative providers
  • Implement robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs focused on performance, innovation, and risk
  • Drive supplier rationalization and alternative delivery models to reduce dependency and increase agility

Stakeholder Partnership & Influence

  • Act as a collaborative trusted advisor to Finance, Strategy, Transformation, Risk, Treasury, and Executive Leadership
  • Shape demand by influencing scope, delivery models, and commercial structures for consulting and financial services engagements
  • Support major enterprise initiatives (e.g., digital transformation, M&A, restructuring) with strong commercial governance

Commercial Excellence, Risk & Compliance

  • Develop advanced commercial models, including outcome-based, gain-share, and risk-sharing structures
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, regulatory requirements, audit standards, and independence rules
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supplier dependency, conflicts of interest, and regulatory exposure

Market Intelligence & Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor consulting market trends, fintech developments, and evolving regulatory landscapes
  • Benchmark Indirect Procurement capabilities against industry peers and best practices
  • Continuously refine category strategies and procurement operating models to maintain industry trends

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred
  • 10-15+ years of experience in Indirect Procurement, category management, or commercial leadership
  • Deep expertise in Consulting and/or Financial Services procurement
  • Proven track record of building or transforming procurement capabilities in global organizations
  • Experience driving digital procurement initiatives and operating model changes
  • Strong exposure to executive-level stakeholder engagement and enterprise transformation programs

The expected compensation range for this position is between $121,500.00 and $202,500.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
