Job Description

The Client Advisor is responsible for managing client relationships within the Wealth Management Group by gaining a complete understanding of the client's often complex financial and personal issues and utilizes broad-based wealth management knowledge and experience to provide comprehensive solutions. This position will assume primary responsibility for client satisfaction by directing and coordinating designated bank resources to ensure prompt delivery of quality service. Additionally, this position develops new business by recognizing and capitalizing on opportunities to enhance and expand relationships with clients, prospects and centers of influence.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Act as primary advisor and key consultant to designated wealth management clients.
  • Assume responsibility for all clients and work with other team members to ensure excellent client experience.
  • Seek and develop referrals from current clients, their advisors, bank partners and outside sources for introductions to new clients.
  • Develop and implement a structured customer outreach program that aligns with established service standards.
  • Profile clients and develop strategies to meet their needs and objectives.
  • Anticipate client needs, recognize opportunities and recommend appropriate products and services based on those individual client needs and assure seamless delivery.
  • Educate clients on financial, regulatory and tax issues and the impact they have on the client's wealth.
  • Interact with bank partners and other client advisors (attorney, CPA) to promote ongoing communication with the client to assure that client plan and solutions are current.
  • Maintain documentation of all client contacts and issues including routine formal correspondence with client confirming discussions and action.
  • Ensure that all accounts are administered in accordance with established policies and procedures including timely completion of all required administrative reviews and required compliance documentation.
  • Participate in activities and projects that enhance the group.
  • Conduct and complete additional assignments/projects as designated by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Professional certification such as, CFP, CFA, CPA, is preferred.
  • Minimum of eight years in an environment focused on wealth management or financial planning. Broad-based knowledge of financial planning, investments, estate planning, tax, legal, insurance, banking and credit products is desirable.
  • Must stay current with developments in these areas in order to provide quality and timely advice.
  • Must maintain a good understanding of bank products and services.

  • Communicate effectively across audiences, clearly articulating ideas, strategies, and product value in both verbal and written formats, while tailoring messages appropriately to the situation and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain exceptional attention to detail, and exercise sound independent judgment when making decisions.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships, exhibiting professionalism, diplomacy, and a constructive, solutionsfocused approach in interactions with internal partners and external contacts.
  • Present a consistently professional presence, maintaining credibility through appropriate demeanor, communication style, and adherence to organizational and industry standards.
  • Apply sound professional judgment, balancing organizational, and customer interests while leveraging available resources to appropriately identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
  • Must have ability to work with multiple systems and be comfortable with software/database applications, including Microsoft Office products, wealth management and bank accounting systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and applications, as well as the ability to understand, adapt and adjust responsibilities/workflows as a result of system upgrades.
  • This position requires regular travel by car to various locations throughout the Bank's market. Occasional out-of-state travel may be required.
  • Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Additional hours may be required depending upon business need.
  • Occasional longer hours may be required as workload dictates.
