Job Description:
Synergy Business Innovation & Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Technical Architect to join our team. You will serve as the Technical Lead and Subject Matter Expert (SME), collaborating with internal and external partners to define, plan, model, govern, and implement Salesforce solutions for a public sector client.
Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Solution Architecture: Understand the customer's business case and design secure, scalable solution architectures on the Salesforce platform, specifically for Government Cloud environments.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership for multiple, related application builds and guide the development team on best practices for Apex, LWC, and integration patterns.
  • Security & Compliance: Define strict Security Models (Organization-Wide Defaults, Permission Sets, Sharing Rules) to protect sensitive data (FOCI and PII) in compliance with federal standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders and the project team to understand requirements, evaluate new features (e.g., Agentforce, Data Cloud), and resolve conflicts between business needs and technical capabilities.
  • Project Planning: Work in partnership with Task Order Leads on implementation schedules, resource requirements, and dependency identification.
  • Trusted Advisor: Serve as a trusted advisor to the customer, helping them plan the development of a scalable and secure architecture.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure systems satisfy quality standards, oversee testing procedures, and resolve complex technical problems as they arise.
Qualifications and Certifications:
Required Experience:
  • 8+ years of total experience in delivering IT solutions for customers.
  • 4+ years of specific experience designing, architecting, and delivering solutions on the Salesforce platform.
  • Integration: Strong Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) background; experience with end-to-end Salesforce implementations and integrating different business systems using APIs and integration tools.
  • Development Expertise: Proficiency in Salesforce development including Apex Classes/Triggers/Web Services, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, JavaScript, and XML.
  • Gov Cloud: Experience with Salesforce Government Cloud Plus and understanding of FedRAMP High constraints.
  • Specialized Skills: Deep expertise in OmniStudio, Experience Cloud, Salesforce Shield (Encryption), and DocuSign CLM/eSignature integrations.
Preferred Skills:
  • OmniStudio (formerly Vlocity)
  • Public Sector Solutions (PSS) Foundation
  • Agentforce with Data Cloud
  • Strong anticipation and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of design patterns and large data volume (LDV) best practices
Education:
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. Master's degree in computer science or computer engineering.
Certifications (Preferred):
  • Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA)
  • Salesforce System Architect
  • Salesforce Application Architect
  • OmniStudio Consultant/Developer
  • Agentforce or Data Cloud Certification
Functional Responsibilities (Standard Duties)
  • Supervise, coordinate, and perform additions and changes to network hardware and operating systems, including investigation, analysis, recommendation, configuration, installation, and testing of new network hardware and software.
  • Perform system architecture activities including concept exploration, requirements definition, analysis, process design, systems design, integration testing, and evaluation within complex environments.
  • Lead and support development and maintenance teams through the full IT life cycle using structured processes.
  • Responsible for the architecture and delivery of systems, applications, and processes underlying customer infrastructure.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex communication problems and provide technical consultation, training, and support to IT staff.
Citizenship & Clearance
  • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Clearance: Must be able to pass a background investigation to attain a Federal Government Position of Trust.

Compensation for roles at Synergy varies depending on a wide variety of factors including but not limited to the requirements of the role; education and certifications; knowledge, training, skills and abilities; level of experience; geographic location; and alignment with market data, law, and other business and organizational needs. As required by local law, the posted pay range represents the lowest to the highest pay that Synergy believes in good faith it might pay for this particular job, depending on the circumstances. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

A reasonable estimate of the current pay range is: $123,000.00 - $180,000.00.

Essential Job Function Physical Requirements: The physical requirements of this position are critical in evaluating the qualifications and abilities of an applicant or employee. The physical efforts needed to perform the essential duties of this job 90% of the time are repetitive motions, grasping, holding, and finger dexterity of the hands, reading, writing, eye-hand coordination, color distinction, and full visual abilities, hearing, talking, sitting, and use of IT equipment, phones, and office machines.

To a reduced degree, <30% of the time, candidates may have to stand, walk, lift 0-30 pounds, push or pull objects, climb stairs, bend, squat, reach, drive a car, or work overtime.
