Provides professional nursing care to patients within the medical practice in support of, and as directed by, the physicians. Assists the physician in the treatment of patients and completes related clinical paperwork. Position Details:

Join our dynamic team as a Diabetic Educator at Mercy St. Louis, focusing on shared medical appointments for diabetes remission. In this role, you will work closely with patients to educate, empower, and support them on their journey towards diabetes remission. You will collaborate with the endocrinologist to implement strategies and interventions aimed at optimizing diabetes management through shared decision making.Additionally, you will have the opportunity to assist the endocrinologist in presenting at national conferences on diabetes remission, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care, a strong background in diabetes education, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting. As a Diabetic Educator, you will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive diabetes education, facilitating group appointments, conducting individual consultations, and monitoring patients' progress. You will be a key resource for patients, offering guidance on nutrition, exercise, medication management, and lifestyle modifications. By fostering a supportive and educational environment, you will inspire and motivate patients to make positive changes in their health behaviors.
