Lead Cybersecurity Specialist and Training Analyst

Location: Onsite - 1200 New Jersey Ave SE, Washington, DC 20590

(Offsite work permitted only with prior written approval from the COR)


Position Overview

The Lead Cybersecurity Specialist and Training Analyst provides technical leadership in the design, management, and deployment of cybersecurity data visualization, analytics, and training systems. This role supports the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) by delivering enterprise-level data-driven capabilities aligned with OCIO strategic goals, IT mission priorities, Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM), cybersecurity awareness initiatives, and risk management activities.

This position blends advanced cybersecurity analytics, data engineering, visualization, and workforce training to enhance organizational cyber resilience and decision-making across technical and executive stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in designing, managing, and deploying cybersecurity data visualization and training systems.
  • Design and implement custom algorithms and workflow processes for enterprise-scale cybersecurity datasets.
  • Develop Databricks-based cyber risk dashboards using machine learning to support:

    • Threat intelligence
    • Incident response
    • Risk analysis




  • Deliver data-driven analysis, executive dashboards, and stakeholder briefings, including executive-level reporting.
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs, including:

    • Training plans and curricula
    • Course materials
    • Online and classroom instruction


  • Support cybersecurity awareness initiatives and the development of cybersecurity awareness media.
  • Collaborate with user groups to:

    • Assess operational and training needs
    • Resolve system and data-related issues
    • Recommend improvements to data systems and workflows


  • Maintain continuous process improvement by streamlining operations, enhancing service delivery, and supporting quality, seamless customer service.
  • Perform administrative planning activities including:

    • Development of functional and support plans
    • Preparation and management of correspondence
    • Documentation development and formatting


  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively through written, verbal, and visual formats.
  • Format, configure, and manage large documents using Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe PDF tools.



Mandatory Qualifications

  • Expertise in:

    • Databricks
    • Power BI
    • SQL


  • Strong understanding of:

    • FISMA 2014 reporting structures
    • CSAM application reporting


  • Knowledge of the NICE Cybersecurity Workforce Framework
  • Demonstrated skill in:

    • Root cause analysis
    • Integrating and manipulating data from multiple disparate data sources


  • Proven experience developing and delivering cybersecurity training programs
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and administrative planning capabilities
