General Summary Coordinates daily operations and staff for multiple ambulatory hematology/oncology and palliative care practice sites, ensuring efficient clinic workflows, high-quality patient access, and strong provider engagement across locations. Oversees clinical and non-clinical teams, partners closely with multidisciplinary departments (including infusion, radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, lab and imaging), and leads practice-level initiatives that support safe, high-acuity specialty care, operational excellence, and a positive patient and team member experience. Primary location will be Grosse Pointe Woods but will need to travel to Warren and East China as needed. Responsibilities
- Provides on-site leadership and daily operational oversight for multiple ambulatory hematology/oncology and palliative care practice sites, ensuring efficient, high-quality clinic flow and patient experience.
- Schedules, coordinates, and leads department and multidisciplinary meetings across locations, fostering strong collaboration with providers and key partners such as Infusion, Radiation Oncology, Gynecologic Oncology, Lab, Imaging and other support services.
- Communicates proactively with physicians, APPs, clinical and non-clinical staff, and external partners to support practice operations, provider engagement, and seamless coordination of care across all assigned sites.
- Ensures data integrity for practice operations by maintaining accurate schedules, staffing plans, operational reports and related records needed for analysis, decision-making and performance improvement.
- Maintains oversight of staffing for assigned clinics, including day-to-day supervision of clinical and non-clinical team members, supporting training, competency, performance feedback and adherence to policies and workflows.
- Develops, updates, and monitors processes that support access, throughput and operational efficiency across multiple locations, including standard work that promotes consistent, high-quality service.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Business, Nursing, Public Health) preferred; equivalent combination of education and progressively responsible experience in ambulatory practice operations will be considered.
- 3-5 years of experience in ambulatory practice management and/or supervisory leadership, preferably overseeing multiple practice sites, providers, and both clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Demonstrated experience building strong partnerships with physicians and multidisciplinary teams (e.g., infusion, radiation oncology, imaging, lab) in a high-acuity, specialty care environment; oncology/infusion experience preferred.
