Responsible for working independently with investigators and clinicians in the design, implementation, and analyses of research studies; develop goals, methodology and procedures to be carried out; understand the data generating mechanism and plan appropriate methods of data collection for each research study; coordinate development of databases for compiled data; communicate with investigators and clinicians to perform quality and logic checks in specialized datasets; construct new domain-specific variables; document, update, and share data dictionaries; utilize and apply knowledge of multiple statistical programming languages including R, SAS, and Python, data visualization tools, and other statistical packages; develop efficient code and use programming tools to ensure reproducibility and consistent output, including Rmarkdown, Rstan, development of R packages, use of high-performance computing (HPC) and git; analyze study data using a variety of statistical methods from univariate statistics to complex multivariate techniques; utilize and apply knowledge of R statistical programming language, Python, ggplot2, matplotlib, Bayesian Statistics, uncertainty quantification, categorical analysis, data augmentation algorithms, generalized linear models, longitudinal analysis, statistical simulation, and spatial statistics to perform assigned duties; prepare in-depth interpretive reports of data analyses for presentation in the form of computer output, graphs, charts, tables and written reports, and other methods; prepare methods and results sections of manuscripts; conduct presentations of results to investigators and clinicians; develop solutions to particular problems that may arise during or as a result of a research study; devise and document new approaches to statistical analyses ; prepare proposal reviews and conduct seminars on statistical analyses as appropriate; coordinate work with other Biostatisticians and data processes; and provide technical guidance in study design, and selection of analysis methods to support personnel.

Location: Detroit, Michigan, and multiple undetermined worksites throughout the US.
Salary: $81,111 per year

Education: Masters Degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);

Training: None.

Experience: One (1) year in the position above, as a Biostatistician, as a Biostatistician Lead, as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, as a Graduate Research Assistant, or in a related occupation.

Other Requirements: Experience must include one (1) year use of all the following: R statistical programming language, Python, ggplot2, matplotlib, Bayesian Statistics, uncertainty quantification, categorical analysis, data augmentation algorithms, generalized linear models, longitudinal analysis, statistical simulation, and spatial statistics.

Will also accept any suitable combination of education, training and/or experience.
