Job Description

General Responsibilities:

Terracon's Salt Lake City office is looking for a talented and experienced addition to our Environmental Department for our Investigation and Remediation team! As one of the largest and most-established environmental consulting firms in Utah, Terracon has an incredible team of environmental professionals and amazing clients.

This position focuses on conducting environmental site investigations, assessments and surveys. Primary duties would include the collection and analysis of samples for analyses and reporting. This work would include Phase I/II environmental site assessments, ecological field surveys, tank closure assessments, storm water management, and site planning and permitting. This is a career growth opportunity position that would support multiple Groups within the Environmental Department.

Completion of some projects may require working outside of standard office hours and days. Required Skills:

* Exceptional writing skills.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and deliver quality product on time.
* Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

* Ability to work with a great team of people with various experience levels.
* Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
* Entry level scientific professional responsible for gathering data and information to be evaluated by other team members.
* Operates field monitoring equipment.
* Assists with operation and maintenance of remediation systems.
* Conduct site visits throughout the Region and prepare data for written reports.
* Assist in the collection of soil, soil vapor and groundwater data, generate maps and tables.
* May have limited client contact pertaining to specific projects/tasks.
* Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
* Must be able to generate reports on time.
* responsible for conducting analyses of component portions of projects; assignments are designed to develop knowledge and abilities.

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related science field and a minimum 1-year related experience. Or, in lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years' related experience.
* Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history.
