Position Overview:
Qualifications
A Die Cut Operator Trainee is trained to do the following: machine set ups, machine operations, and ability to maintain machines to produce corrugated boxes, ensuring quality and adhering to production schedules and safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:
Physical Demands: Standing and Walking: The job often requires prolonged periods of standing and walking around the plant machinery. Bending, Stooping, and Kneeling: Operator tasks often require bending, stooping, and kneeling to access equipment and machinery. Lifting and Carrying: Operators may need to lift and carry cutting dies, print dies, and ink buckets, potentially requiring the ability to lift heavier objects. Reaching and Grasping: Reaching for tools, parts, and product, grasping tools and product are common tasks. Twisting and Rotating: The job may require twisting and rotating the body to access equipment or machinery. Using Hands and Fingers: Operators use their hands and fingers for a variety of tasks, including setting up machine tooling, and inspecting product. Working in Various Environments: Operators may work in various environments, including hot, cold, noisy, and dusty areas. Repetitive Tasks: Some tasks may involve repetitive motions, such as tightening bolts or operating tools. Using Tools: Operators use a variety of hand tools, including wrenches, pliers, hammers, and screwdrivers. Exposure to Hazards: Operators may be exposed to various hazards, including chemicals, dust, noise, and mechanical hazards. Safety Gear: Operators are required to wear appropriate safety gear, such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection. Qualifications: High school graduate or equivalent. 0-1 year in a production environment, preferably in a corrugated box plant. Must have computer knowledge Able to communicate with team members.
