Summary: The UNC Mil-Civ Partnership, branded as the Carolina Military Educational and Immersion Center (MEdIC), enables military medical personnel to maintain and enhance skills at UNC Health as credentialed (embedded) team members or rotational student learners. The MEdIC Administrative Director's (AD) oversees programs and projects spanning UNC Hospitals, UNC Faculty Physicians, UNC Medical Group, UNC Schools of Medicine and Nursing and other UNC Health entities. The Director is responsible for overall, portfolio-level program and operations management of programs and initiatives, including project and program selection and prioritization, assessing performance, evaluating results, and driving improvement. The MEdIC AD will provide the strategic skillset and operational support to 1) provide executive-level oversight of operations, budgets, and personnel; 2) manage contracts, interagency agreements, and compliance frameworks; 3) lead strategic planning and performance measurement; 3) build and supervise the expanding administrative team; and 4) liaise with military and governmental agencies. Responsibilities: 1. Leadership - Directs operations, develops goals and objectives, monitors results, administers and improves policies, procedures and processes. Coaches clinicians, teammates, and interprofessional teams in clinical improvement, data analysis and reporting, physician mentorship, executive sponsorship, and academic scholarship. Recruits, hires, develops, trains and evaluates Institute staff for maximum performance.
