Job Overview

The Director HR Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor and trusted thought partner to senior leadership, shaping the people strategy that enables teams to thrive and the organization to achieve its goals. This role blends high-level strategic influence with hands-on leadership, guiding initiatives that strengthen culture, elevate talent, and drive organizational effectiveness. This role also champions an inclusive, high-performance environment while providing expert counsel on workforce planning, organizational design, leadership development, and change management.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develops and drives talent strategies, in partnership with executives and directors, ensuring talent strategies align with organizational and divisional priorities. Defines annual goals and performance metrics, monitoring and reporting out on progress throughout the year.

  • Provides consultative support and coaching to executives and directors on organizational and management matters. Guides leaders through workforce planning and forecasting, organizational design and development, and talent management initiatives, policies, and processes. Assists leaders with development plans for teams and individual team members.

  • Contributes to the design and development of HR and business metrics; leverages workforce insights and analytics to focus senior leaders on relevant talent issues while assessing potential strategies and solutions.

  • Partners and leads other HRBP leaders and team members in the development and execution of talent initiatives, ensuring the consistent application, implementation, and improvement of outcomes across the system. Provides technical expertise on programs, policies, and best practices. Performs project management activities.

  • Partners with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to lead the implementation of HR programs, policies, and processes for assigned divisions. Provides feedback and recommendations for improving HR service delivery and collaboration. Partners with COE leaders to research and resolve customer service escalations.

  • Participates in leadership activities for assigned divisions, contributing to the achievement of goals and objectives. Monitors culture, engagement, and climate of assigned divisions, identifying trends and recommendations to maintain or improve culture and the team member experience.

  • Communicates organizational culture, policies, procedures, and resources to HRBPs and clients. Manages communications to clients on key HR initiatives and recurring projects. Maintains effective working relationships with executives and directors in assigned divisions and with HR peers.

  • Assigns and reviews annual goals for HRBPs, provides work instruction and development. Evaluates performance of HRBPs, providing continuous feedback. Manages discipline and performance issues. Hires and fires team members.

  • Ensures compliance against federal, state, and local regulations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree

  • Experience: Seven (7) years of human resources experience, providing advice and counsel on organizational development, performance management, employee relations, dispute resolution, and corrective actions.

  • Equivalency: A combination of additional years of experience and higher level of education, beyond stated requirements, may be considered as a substitute on a year for year basis.

Preferences: Previous experience leading in a clinical setting.

Salary Information
Annual Salary Range (Based on 40 hours worked per week): $117,025.91 to $195,043.17

Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
