Summary
Compensation Analyst The Compensation Analyst supports the Company's compensation strategy by conducting analysis that ensures internal equity and external competitiveness. This position ensures the integrity of the Company's job architecture and delivers data-driven insights to guide business leaders in making informed pay decisions. The Company is one of North America's leading sales and marketing agencies specializing in outsourced sales, merchandising, category management and marketing services to manufacturers, suppliers and producers of food products and consumer packaged goods. The Company services a variety of trade channels including grocery, mass merchandise, specialty, convenience, drug, dollar, club, hardware, consumer electronics and home centers. We bridge the gap between manufacturers and retailers, providing consumers access to the best products available in the marketplace today. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct market pricing analysis to benchmark the organization's roles against relevant external data, ensuring both internal equity and external competitiveness. Provide consultation to business leaders and HRBPs on pay decisions, offering data-driven insights to support compensation strategies that align with business objectives.
- Maintain the job catalogue, ensuring accuracy in all associated job architecture elements. Collaborate on large-scale job architecture projects and ensure alignment with compensation strategy. Partner with business leaders and HRBPs to create and update job descriptions that accurately reflect role responsibilities and align with market benchmarks and internal job architecture. Ensure job descriptions are documented and maintained in the appropriate systems and tools, supporting compensation analyses, market pricing, and organizational consistency.
- Participate in and analyze results from annual and ad hoc salary surveys to ensure the Company remains competitive and up to date with the latest compensation trends. Assist in identifying market shifts and the recommendation for compensation structure adjustments.
- Responsible for the administration of the annual compensation cycles, including system testing, communication creation, and supporting the implementation of salary increases and bonuses. Ensure accurate data entry and assist in the review of pay equity considerations to support fair and consistent outcomes.
- Process commission and incentive payments, ensuring compliance with established program rules, proper documentation, and alignment with payroll and finance timelines.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support compensation initiatives. - Manage market data tools and associated data: CompAnalyst, Pay Equity Tools, Mercer, ERI.
Minimum Qualifications Experience:
- Required: Bachelor's Degree
- 3+ years of progressive compensation experience, consultative, or strategic advisory capacity.
- Demonstrated experience influencing and partnering with senior business leaders and HRBPs to shape and implement compensation strategies.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis; ability to interpret complex compensation data and communicate findings effectively.
- Experience with compensation market pricing platforms (e.g., CompAnalyst, Mercer WIN, Syndio PayEQ, ERI Salary Assessor).
- Strong working knowledge of compensation principles, job architecture, pay equity analysis, and incentive administration.
Other Competencies:
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate compensation strategy into practical, scalable solutions.
- Ability to navigate complex pay issues, provide sound recommendations, and influence outcomes at multiple levels of the organization.
