Job Description




As a Security Officer - Media Campus Rover in Saint Charles, MO, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication. You will support a people-first environment by assisting employees and visitors, documenting activities, and collaborating with site teams. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, access concerns, and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout a technology and communications location, including office areas, common spaces, loading and receiving areas, and the exterior perimeter, as assigned.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access by monitoring entrances, checking identification and/or access credentials as directed by site policy, and maintaining a visible presence.
  • Monitor CCTV, alarm panels, and/or other site systems when assigned, and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations to site contacts.
  • Control access for employees, contractors, and/or delivery personnel in accordance with post orders, including directing visitors to proper check-in points and maintaining visitor logs when required.
  • Perform routine security-related inspections during patrol, such as checking doors, gates, and other access points for signs of tampering and/or forced entry.
  • Provide assistance with traffic flow, parking areas, and/or delivery routes as directed, supporting orderly movement around the property.
  • Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in daily reports and/or electronic systems, with clear and timely communication to supervision.
  • Coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and on-site personnel during incidents, including contacting emergency services when appropriate and following escalation procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
