Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Clayton, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control, and assist staff, visitors, and patients with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, donors, visitors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Control access by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying authorization as required, and directing visitors to appropriate areas in accordance with site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards such as unsecured doors, suspicious conditions, or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical alerts as assigned, and/or fire and intrusion alarms, and coordinate notifications to site leadership and local responders as directed.
  • Monitor cameras, alarms, and other site systems when assigned, and report unusual activity, malfunctioning equipment, and/or service needs through the appropriate channels.
  • Complete accurate, timely documentation such as shift activity reports, incident reports, and patrol logs, maintaining confidentiality of healthcare-related information as required.
  • Provide assistance with traffic flow and/or parking management during peak times, deliveries, and special events as directed by site procedures.
  • Support staff with de-escalation and customer interaction techniques when appropriate, and request additional support when situations exceed post authority or training.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
