As a Security Officer - Medical Center Patrol Driver in Chattanooga, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a fast-paced healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with clear communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, and/or medical facility emergencies, and communicate updates to appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter, including corridors, entrances, parking areas, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary by post.
  • Control access at designated entrances by greeting entrants, observing for unusual behavior, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in points per site procedures.
  • Monitor and report suspicious activity, unauthorized persons, and/or policy violations, helping to deter unwanted activity through visible presence and timely reporting.
  • Complete routine patrol and incident reports, including documenting observations, actions taken, and notifications made, in accordance with site and Allied Universal guidelines.
  • Provide assistance with wayfinding and customer service requests while maintaining awareness of surroundings and reporting concerns through established channels.
  • Participate in emergency preparedness activities as directed, such as alarms, evacuations, and/or shelter-in-place procedures, and assist with crowd management when needed.
  • Operate radios, phones, and/or other communication tools to coordinate with site personnel and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Support a professional environment by following post orders, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, and arriving on time for scheduled shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
