Position Scope

The Billing Clerk supports accurate and timely billing by maintaining customer information, preparing and distributing invoices, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring billing records and accounts remain current.

Essential Functions

Work with Account Managers, Marketing/Pricing Managers and Admin staff to collect accurate information for billing.

Maintain all customer profiles including pricing information, schedules, and billing requirements.

Input meal counts into FAIRS daily and enter sales into Sales Report.

Maintain Master Dispatch Sheet and Airline Boarding Bills.

Create and work in Excel spreadsheets to calculate and create invoices for customers.

Send out customer invoices per schedules set up by the company or customer's contract with Flying Food Group.

Ensure Corporate A/R properly applies all payments and working with Corporate A/R and Unit Controller to ensure customer accounts stay current.

Work with Dispatch, Production, and Transportation to make sure boarding bills are complete and all work performed by the kitchen the previous day was captured and billed.

Maintain accurate files regarding all invoices, payments, and other customer billing documents.

Perform other duties assigned by Controller.

Knowledge and Skills

Comfortable dealing with numbers and the processing of financial information.

Proficient computer skills; comfortable with Excel.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills,

Detail-oriented

Knowledge of FAIRS and/or commercial airline industry an advantage.

Effectively gives and receives feedback.

Willingly asks questions and seeks direction as needed.

Must be able to function within a team environment.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Position Type/Work Environment/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, hourly position in an office environment. Schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM.

Required Education and Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Prior billing and/or airline industry experience desired.
