I. DEPARTMENT INFORMATION




Job Description Summary:
The Graduate Recruitment Assistant will support the development, coordination, and execution of graduate recruitment activities for the Columbian College of Arts & Sciences. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with planning, setup, and management of virtual information sessions.
  • Representing GW and CCAS at virtual and occasional in-person recruitment events.
  • Entering, importing, and maintaining prospective student data with high accuracy.
  • Assisting with development and maintenance of communication flows.
  • Sending, tracking, and improving email outreach to prospective and admitted students.
  • Running CRM reports (Slate) and following up with event-generated leads.
  • Writing queries, generating reports, and performing basic data analysis.
  • Supporting admitted-student outreach and yield initiatives.
  • Providing staffing for major spring events, including Doctoral Hooding, Admitted Student Events, and Master's Celebration.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service skills; experience working with diverse populations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting virtually.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (TargetX/Salesforce and/or Slate preferred).
  • Strong spreadsheet, data entry, and data analysis skills.
  • At least one year of marketing, admissions or recruitment experience in higher education.
