At Peraton, you won't just support the mission - you'll define it.

Help shape the future of U.S. airspace safety and efficiency. Peraton is seeking an experienced Field Engineering and Site Readiness Director to lead nationwide field coordination and site readiness activities supporting the installation of mission-critical Brand-New Air Traffic Control System (BNATCS) capabilities for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This role serves as the primary field interface between Peraton and FAA Engineering Services, ensuring FAA facilities are fully prepared to support complex system installations across diverse operational environments.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience working with FAA or similar government engineering organizations, strong knowledge of facility and infrastructure readiness, and a proven ability to coordinate across engineering, construction, logistics, and operations stakeholders. This highly visible, field-focused leadership role is critical to ensuring installations are executed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with FAA engineering standards and contractual requirements.

  • Coordinate and manage site readiness activities to enable installation of core BNATCS systems, including facilities, power, grounding, HVAC, network connectivity, and physical security.
  • Conduct site surveys and readiness assessments in collaboration with FAA facility personnel and engineering stakeholders.
  • Develop, track, and manage site readiness checklists, schedules, and action items.
  • Identify, communicate, and mitigate site-specific risks or constraints that could impact installation timelines or system performance.
  • Coordinate installation schedules with FAA Engineering Services, Peraton installation teams, logistics, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA engineering standards, safety requirements, and BNATCS contractual obligations.
  • Support installation execution by resolving on-site issues, coordinating access, and facilitating communication among all parties.
  • Provide regular status updates, reports, and documentation to Peraton program leadership and FAA stakeholders.
  • Support installation closeout activities, including site acceptance, documentation review, and transition to sustainment or operations teams.

  • Strong understanding of facility infrastructure requirements (power, HVAC, grounding, cabling, and physical security).
  • Experience working directly with government customers, preferably the FAA or another DOT or DoD organization.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities in a dynamic field environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively to FAA facilities nationwide.
