Position Overview
The
Information Technology Developer intern will assist the IT office with the essential functions listed below. This internship works on a quarter-by-quarter basis.

Essential Functions

- Greet and welcome customers.
- Use polite and professional behavior answering our IT Help Line.
- Utilize our ticketing system to document and create service and support tickets.
- Route tickets to the correct technical area or person for service.
- Perform routine computer maintenance and repair, including but not limited to hardware and software installation, de-installation and troubleshooting. Setup, install, configure, test, move and decommission computers and peripherals according to accepted policies and procedures.
- Setup, install, configure, test, move and decommission devices.
- Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience installing and removing hardware and software.
- Experience with diagnosing and repairing minor hardware and software issues.
- Professional and well organized communtication.
Conditions of Employment
- Successfully complete a background Check prior to employment.
- Ability to lift/move computer equipment weighing up to 30 lbs, using proper lifting techniques.
- Must be a current TCC student.

Terms of Employment
These part-time student hourly positions are bound by the
WAC 357-04-045
provisions above. Scheduled to work up 17 hours per week and on a quarter-by-quarter basis. The work location is the TCC main campus. The salary is $20.00-$20.00 per hour. TCC Part-time hourly and student employees including work study students, will accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 40 hours worked. Hourly non-student employees may be applicable for comprehensive health care benefits package for you and your dependents includes medical, dental and vision insurance. Life and long- term disability insurance plans and retirement benefits are also provided.
