Job Description

Provide Subject Matter Expert guidance to Television personnel and test customer. Schedules Television technicians based on test and general support requirements. Interfaces with customers to understand test requirements, recommend solutions, and appropriate resources to accomplish the mission. Sets up, operates and monitors basic video capturing and recording equipment at test sites. Performs complicated electrical troubleshooting, assembly, and repair of various cables / connectors. Selects appropriate equipment to capture the required imagery. Sets up and operates television instrumentation equipment to record scientific data of test related projects. This includes single and multiple instrumentation setups. Operates software used to score test related events. Transfers recorded information onto appropriate media as required. Performs other duties as required to complete the assigned mission. Mentors junior technicians. Directs small teams to accomplish section requirements. Performs Quality Assurance on equipment setup and captured imagery. Provides training to other technicians. Helps develop SOPs and training requirements. Reviews timesheets. Recommends equipment for purchase in support of testing. This position is covered under the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Qualifications

Pay Rate:$40.92

Education/Licenses/Certifications/Experience Requirements:

*Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
*Must have 15 years' directly related experience, OR have an applicable AA or Military training and 10 years' experience, OR an applicable Bachelor's degree and 7 years' related experience.

Job Skills Requirements:

*Must have demonstrated leadership experience.
*Must be able to effectively collaborate with others to achieve the safety, quality and performance goals established for the section.

Physical Requirements:

*Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical and periodic retests.
*May be required to have applicable flight physicals and maintain ability to fly on test aircraft.
*Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for work tasks assigned.
*Must be capable of working in extreme weather conditions including summer temperatures peaking around 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
*Must be capable of lifting 50 lbs. unassisted.
*Must be capable of kneeling and standing for long periods of time.
*Must be tolerant of frequent weapon firings.
*Must meet the physical requirements necessary to perform operations outlined, performed, and stated in the SOPs for TV Instrumentation.

*Must possess a valid driver's license, without special restrictions.

*Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently.
*Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed, sometimes on short notice, to support test missions.

Additional Desirable Qualifications:

*Advanced skills in digital video and digital processing.
*Advanced working knowledge of electronics and computer systems.

Terms of Employment & Eligibility Requirements:

*Must be a U.S. Citizen and not hold multiple citizenships.
*Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance prior to employment and maintain security clearance for the duration of employment.
*Must be a current TRAX employee or affiliate subcontractor for internal postings.
