Overview

TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our growing team. The Technical Project Manager will maintain relationships with senior government staff and contractors and will apply a deep understanding of current technology and the Software Development Life Cycle. The Technical Project Manager will also drive collaboration and thought leadership, to improve adoption and identify efficiencies. This person must be resourceful and detail-oriented.

The Technical Project Manager will support the management of all aspects of release deployment to ensure that tasks are delivered on time, and with high levels of quality and customer satisfaction. (S)he will be responsible for release documentation and will provide weekly status updates. In addition, the Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the project schedule and will ensure that tasks remain on time and the project remains on track. Success in this role requires a candidate who can handle a high degree of flexibility, works well in a fast-paced environment, and thrives on dealing with ambiguity, balancing frequent changes in priority, and managing complex relationships with a delivery team.

Responsibilities

  • Work autonomously as part of a project team ,
  • Provide oversight for release deployment,
  • Create and manage project documentation including contract deliverables, change management plans, etc.
  • Partner with program leads to create and deliver weekly and monthly status updates,
  • Lead, plan, execute, and control project schedule and monitor tasks to ensure on time delivery,
  • Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans and deliverables meet intent.
  • Coordinate with application and technical teams to determine requirements for modernization efforts.
  • Plan, lead, facilitate, track, communicate, and complete internal deployment activities for the project.
  • Develop solutions to technical issues.
  • Proactively identify potential risks/issues impacting timelines.
  • Identify ways to improve and streamline business processes.
  • Support the management of required project artifacts consistent with project management methodology.
  • Facilitate communication between the various work streams, the customer and other functional Leads when necessary.
  • Report on project status clearly, consistently, and reliably to program leadership and team members.
  • Coordinate and run meetings with the project team and the customer.

Qualifications

  • 10 years in IT and/or software development industry.
  • 10 years of PM experience in infrastructure project management.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure projects.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • Clear understanding of Agile software development methodology and key best practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and planning skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Education:

  • BS in a technology or related field and 8 years of prior relevant experience.

Clearance:

  • Ability to obtain an MBI clearance.

Location:

  • Remote, USA.

Salary Information:

  • The pay for this position ranges from $65,250 to $76,500.
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
