What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at the healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional presence as an armed security professional.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or address potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verifying authorized access as required by site policies.
  • Assist with incident reporting, documentation, and communication with Allied Universal management and site contacts as directed.
  • Support emergency preparedness and response protocols, providing assistance during drills and real incidents as needed.
  • Collaborate with healthcare staff and first responders in the event of medical emergencies or other urgent situations.
  • Maintain awareness of the unique environment and requirements of a healthcare setting, adapting security-related procedures as necessary.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement military or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
