As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. This position requires both driving and carrying a firearm as you conduct routine patrols and provide excellent customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
  • Communicate with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation related to security-related incidents, patrols, and observations.
  • Remain alert to changes in the environment, reporting any concerns or unusual conditions to Allied Universal management and/or client representatives.
  • Maintain a professional presence while interacting with visitors, staff, and others at the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • A valid firearms permit is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
