Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service. Armed guard card holders are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or security-related concerns and report findings according to established protocols.
  • Assist with access control measures, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site policies.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services as directed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate incident reports and daily activity logs as required by Allied Universal and the location.
  • Maintain a visible and professional presence to help to deter potential threats and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • An armed guard card or license is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
