Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol in Milton, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare setting, you will monitor and patrol assigned hospital areas to help maintain a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Your presence and customer service skills will help to deter security-related incidents while you assist with routine checks and provide support as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order and support the needs of the healthcare environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and around the perimeter to help to deter inappropriate activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance needs encountered during patrols to appropriate personnel.
  • Assist medical staff and visitors as needed while remaining alert to security-related concerns specific to a healthcare setting.
  • Support access control procedures by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols and communicate clearly with Allied Universal management and on-site contacts regarding incidents and daily activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Hospital employees must comply with vaccine requirements as mandated by the hospital.
  • Employees may be required to restrain individuals as part of their security-related duties.
  • Being able to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Having a current CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
