Summary/Objective:

Lippert OEM Relations Representative collaborate closely with local, national, and international OEMs to address process, product, and relationship concerns at all levels. Building strong, in-depth relationships with OEM partners is essential for maintaining long-term customers and fostering new business growth. The OEM Relations team supports all sectors of the Lippert product family, including but not limited to RV, Marine, Automotive, Utility, Equestrian, and Aftermarket.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers at all levels.
  2. Effectively and solely fulfill requests by clarifying needs, processing transactions, making informed financial business decisions, and signing off on final warranty items, while forwarding inquiries as necessary.
  3. Demonstrate a significant understanding of Lippert products and their mechanical relationship to RVs and the industry through Lippert training programs, on-the-spot training during wellness visits, and other hands-on learning opportunities.
  4. Respond quickly and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Identify and involve the appropriate parties to assist in resolving issues.
  6. Ensure a high level of customer experience by proactively addressing issues and providing solutions.
  7. Partner with internal and external teams to ensure OEM requests and expectations are met.
  8. Represent Lippert professionally in meetings, conferences and industry events.
  9. Serve as a key liaison between Lippert and our OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer).
  10. Make informed decisions that could range from pre-legal to post-legal units, ensuring that all outcomes align with the company's goals and legal requirements.

Working Conditions:

  1. Primarily working indoors, office environment.
  2. Will be conducting official business at OEM's and/or at Lippert Production facilities.
  3. Walking is required in production/office settings.
  4. Handling of parts as needed during product concern reviews.
  5. May sit for several hours at a time.
  6. Prolonged exposure to computer screens.
  7. Repetitive use of hands to operate computers, printers, and copiers.

Qualifications:

  1. High school degree or GED
  2. Proficiency in computers and programs such as Excel or Word
  3. Advanced technical proficiency

Essential Functions:

  1. Foster and maintain strong relationships by understanding the customer journey and continuously striving to enhance their experience.
  2. Conduct regular OEM visits both locally and out of state, including wellness visits to ensure there are no issues, repairing relationships, or educating the OEM as needed.
  3. Perform financial visits to recoup deducted dollars or work out financial agreements
  4. Documenting visit details, OEM feedback, and the completion of open action items
  5. Visits Lippert manufacturing facilities, leadership, and customers to address product issues, changes and the introduction of new products.
  6. Actively participate in both in person and virtual communication meetings to ensure Customer Support and Service teams are informed about new product releases and OEM support requirements.
  7. Monitor warranty reports by product line, OEM, and issue type, to identify trends and notifying leadership of emerging concerns.
  8. Support the adjudication of warranty expenses by reviewing and approving claims on a regular basis, which could be up to $10,000.
  9. Prepare and maintain monthly reports on completed and ongoing projects to ensure transparency and accountability. These reports will be sent to executives and/or major shareholders.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. The Team Member must be able to drive. This position could be in an office setting, production setting, or could involve spending time in manufacturing training, cross-training, and/or educating OEMs. It may require standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping during facility visits. The Team Member will be seated at a desk for extended periods and may be able to lift and/or move items over 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager. Hours are expected to be 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, additional hours may be required at times.

Travel:

Travel will be minimal and would be primarily local during the business day. Occasional on-site visits to customer locations outside of the local areas, outside of Indiana, or outside of the country may be required, with notice.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Knowledge of Customer Service principles and practices.
  • Business Administration (BBA or MBA)

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

  • Driver's License

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
