**Here's how you'll make an impact:**

* **Drive Markdown Strategy:** Create and meticulously maintain the markdown calendar, ensuring all relevant timelines and events are accurately captured and communicated.

* **Ensure Data Integrity:** Develop consolidated markdown files for new store openings, verifying accuracy across all relevant internal systems.

* **System Management:** Oversee the entry of auto-close dates within our internal management system and manage the approval process for weekly markdown authorizations.

* **Process Optimization:** Efficiently process markdown extension requests and clearly communicate approvals or changes to all relevant stakeholders.

* **Operational Excellence:** Execute markdown-related operational tasks, upholding the highest company standards and compliance.

* **Strategic Collaboration:** Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including merchandising, planning, and store operations, to ensure markdown strategies are fully aligned with broader merchandising goals.

* **Facilitate Communication:** Act as a key liaison, bridging communication between various teams for all markdown-related initiatives.

* **Timely Reporting:** Provide essential, timely updates and comprehensive documentation to ensure the seamless execution of all markdown activities.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* **Retail Operations Expertise:** Demonstrated familiarity with markdown processes, store operations, and core merchandising principles.

* **Analytical Acumen:** Strong ability to consolidate, interpret, and leverage markdown data to inform decision-making.

* **Exceptional Organization:** Highly detail-oriented with a proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain impeccable accuracy.

* **Communication Prowess:** Comfortable collaborating effectively with diverse cross-functional teams and capable of presenting updates clearly and concisely. You can translate complex data and technical information into clear, concise language for various audiences.

* **Technical Proficiency:** Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel is required.

**Nice-to-Have Qualifications:**
