Technical Expert Reports to company headquarters in Irving, TX. Participate in network planning, engineering, and architecture processes. Produce and/or maintain technical and procedural documentation as directed. Provide 4th level support on incidents and service requests. Maximize network performance and availability by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades, and collaborating with network architects on network optimization. Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner. Ensure high availability of network services through redundancy, failover configurations, and proactive maintenance. Coordinate activities among multiple groups to ensure 99.999% uptime for the organization. Provide on-call technical support after hours and on weekends as needed. Document designs and policies associated with networks and maintain proper documentation of systems configurations. Lead network-related projects, from concept to deployment, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide recommendations for network improvements. Implement and enforce network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption standards. Monitor for vulnerabilities and apply patches, updates, or changes to mitigate risks. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards. Architecture of Next-Generation 9-1-1 services as defined by NENA, including but not limited to Emergency Service Routing Proxy (ESRP), Border Control Function (BCF), Logging Services, Policy Store, Emergency Call Routing Function (ECRF) and Location Information Server (LIS). Architecture of integration solutions between legacy 9-1-1 and Next-Generation 9-1-1 services as defined by NENA, including but not limited to Legacy PSAP Gateway (LPG) and Legacy Network Gateway (LNG). Analysis and troubleshooting of Next-Generation 9-1-1 products and services and the integration with 3rd-party solutions. Software architecture and development for on-premise and cloud deployments based on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and Microsoft Azure. Software architecture and development for cloud-native services using Kubernetes. Software development using Node.js and JavaScript. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic or Telecommunications). Five (5) years in any occupation with experience in development or service organizations on the telecommunications industry including the public safety US market. Five (5) years in any occupation with experience in development or service organizations on the telecommunications industry including the public safety US market must include: Experience with National Emergency Number Association (NENA) standards, documents and best-practices; Experience with Voice-over-IP and related protocols used in Next-Generation 911: SIP, RTP, MSRP, RTT, HELD, LoST, ADR and extensions; Experience with protocols used in legacy and E9-1-1: ANI/ALI, CAD, CAMA trunking and PSTN-related technologies; Experience with network protocols commonly used for web and telecom applications: TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, HTTP; Experience with Virtualized Networks (VMware, Google Cloud Platform, Azure Cloud Platform); Security NIST, CIS or NENA; Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Design patterns; Experience with application runtime performance, memory management and concurrency; Experience with at least one of the following modern frontend frameworks: React.js, Angular, Vue.js; and Experience consuming diverse data sources, from relational databases to key-value stores and unstructured data. ROVING/TELECOMMUTING EMPLOYEE: Reports to company headquarters in Irving, TX. Will work at various unknown client sites throughout the U.S. for up to 100% of the time. Must be willing to travel anywhere in the U.S. and may be assigned to work at client sites across the U.S. Can work remotely or telecommute.
