Job Description




As a Security Officer - Armed Telecom Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Patrol Armed Officer, where you will help to deter security-related incidents and provide a welcoming presence at a leading tech, media, and telecom location. You will conduct regular patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and interact with employees and visitors to deliver outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing armed patrol protocols as required by the post profile.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and maintain a visible presence.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry or suspicious behavior in a tech, media, and telecom environment.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs related to security-related incidents, patrols, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency personnel when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.
  • Remain alert to potential threats or hazards and communicate concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal and/or client contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
