Security Officer - Inmate Transport

As a Security Officer - Armed Facility Patrol Driver in Land O Lakes, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for conducting routine patrols and remaining visible throughout government locations to help deter security-related incidents. This is an armed and driving role, where your presence and professionalism will help create a secure environment for all. What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the government location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Monitor and report any unusual activity, security-related hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
• Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to employees and visitors.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors, addressing security-related questions and concerns as needed.
• Assist with access control procedures, verifying identification and/or credentials as required by site-specific protocols.
• Complete required documentation and reports related to incidents, patrols, and daily activities in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 2 years of experience in law enforcement, military, or corrections is required.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• Primarily driving post is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
