Vaco is actively seeking a Release Train Engineer / Scrum Master to support the software development efforts of a nationally respected organization in Memphis. Position Summary This hybrid role will maintain team / project alignment, address SDLC obstacles, and optimize workflows from intake through delivery across the enterprise. This role acts as a connective layer between delivery leadership, cross-functional teams, and technical tooling/configuration specialists, ensuring delivery practices are consistent, scalable, and supported by the right tooling. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in Scrum, Kanban, and project-based delivery, paired with strong facilitation, program-level coordination, process mapping, and hands-on Jira workflow capability. This is not a traditional team-only Scrum Master role. It requires someone who can operate at a broader system level, selecting the right delivery approach for the work, improving end-to-end delivery throughput, and enabling alignment across multiple teams. Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in Agile delivery environments (Scrum, Kanban, hybrid models). Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Demonstrated understanding of delivery flow from intake to completion across multiple methodologies and team structures. Hands-on experience using Jira required; familiarity with Jira workflow configuration strongly preferred. Jira admin/configuration experience (workflows, schemas, custom fields, screens, permissions) a plus. Proficiency with Smartsheet or similar workflow/project/automation tools. Demonstrated ability to map, analyze, and improve processes with measurable outcomes. Proven ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across multiple teams. Analytical mindset with comfort translating delivery processes into tooling structures, reporting, and workflow governance. Experience operating between process owners and technical tool configurators (tooling translation layer).
