Truck Driver (1st shift- starting at $20.80/hour)

Candidate will be responsible for completing training and performing the following job functions:

1. Operate a box truck (typically 16-26 ft.) in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all local, state and federal traffic laws and regulations.
2. Transport raw materials from the warehouse to the plant, and finished goods from the plant to the warehouse, according to production schedules and shipping manifests.
3. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, documenting any issues or maintenance needs.
4. Load and unload materials and products safely by utilizing electric pallet jacks or by hand, ensuring proper securing of loads to prevent damage during transit.
5. Verify the accuracy of cargo against shipping documents before leaving each location.
6. Maintain accurate delivery logs, including mileage, fuel consumption and delivery times.
7. Communicate effectively with warehouse and plant personnel regarding delivery status, delays or discrepancies.
8. Assist with general warehouse or plant duties as needed, when not actively driving.
9. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Basic computer knowledge, including SAP.
• Must be a self-starter, well organized, able to work both independently and as a team member, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Hours: 6:00am- 2:30pm, Monday- Friday. OT as needed, possible Saturday hours as well.

Pay Rate: $20.80/hr.
