This position is primarily responsible to actively accelerate the sales and growth as well as day to day needs of select and strategic Sherwin-Williams customers through direct phone and email communication. Specifically, the first line of communication for all Packaging customers. The Key Account Specialist will engage with commercial leaders, marketing teams, internal and external distribution branches and sales reps, and ultimately end-use customers to increase value of the Sherwin-Williams Packaging Division.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. The Company therefore has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and is necessary to protect the safety of the Company's staff, employees, and business relationships.

* Available-to-Promise support and back-up as necessary.
* 3PL training/process management support.
* Strategic powder inventory management and lead export supply chain activities.
* Leads and coordinates customer material disposal process.
* Lead month-end close activities.
* Team with sales and commercial to follow-up on new product leads and recommendations.
* Make daily customer calls to manage on-hand inventory and solicit new sales/orders.
* Attend customer trials to gain understand of product requirements while supporting sales to gain new business and pursue future leads.
* Determine where customer is in the overall selling process and what steps are necessary to move the sales process along.
* Schedule customer visits to maintain and enhance customer rapport and offer support to address any deficiencies (invoice, inventory - FIFO, logistics struggles, update customer profiles).
* Identify & recognize supply constraints and actively work in conjunction with commercial to make recommendations to maintain supply.
* Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales or technical professional for development and closure.
* Communicate effectively with appropriate field sales representatives.
* Access product/technical information to support customers' application requirements.
* Complete required CRM updates in Salesforce on a timely basis.
* Utilize all sales tools including Oracle Cloud, Boundary Apps and Valtrack to support/maintain selling efforts and address all supply struggles.
* Responsible for bulk tank inventory management by using telemetry tools and direct/indirect solicited customer feedback.
* Follow up appropriately with customers' telephone inquiries and orders.
* Utilize all sales tools including Salesforce to support selling efforts.
* Participate in business team meetings as necessary.
* Communicate roadblocks to sales management team.
* Gather competitive intelligence to share with commercial.

Minimum Requirements

* Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
* Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.)
* Must have High School Diploma or GED
* Must have at least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Power Point
* Must have at least one (1) year of work experience using Microsoft Excel, including writing formulas, formatting and sorting data, creating pivot tables, and importing/exporting excel data to and from proprietary software

Preferred Qualifications

* Have a bachelor's degree or higher
