As a Senior Military Operations Planner, you'll bring your strategic perspective and service-level operational and organizational expertise to work alongside thought leaders in defense strategy and planning. You'll leverage your experience to support a Service Headquarters organization through research, analysis, and assessment of service strategies, plans, and implementation efforts. You'll identify and evaluate complex policies, processes, and systems to enable integrated execution of joint and service strategies across DOTMLPF domains. You'll participate in planning activities, working groups, and forums to ensure alignment among Service, DoD, and Joint Staff stakeholders on strategies, plans, and their implementation.

You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience with DoD organizations
  • Experience leading strategic-level planning and wargaming for the Marine Corps to inform operational and campaign design
  • Experience applying Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP) and Joint Planning Process (JPP) methodologies to develop POA&Ms, analyze directives, and assess operational impacts
  • Experience advising senior military and civilian leaders on campaign development, long-range planning, and DoD policy to shape future readiness and strategic decisions
  • Experience developing strategies and deliberate plans to integrate national and Service-level objectives for operational coherence
  • Experience analyzing and validating Marine Corps equities in contingency plans and Time-Phased Force Deployment Data (TPFDD) lists to ensure accurate force allocation and operational readiness
  • Knowledge of Reserve Component mobilization planning and policy synchronization with DoD and Service initiatives to support force generation
  • Ability to liaise with higher headquarters, adjacent commands, and external planning organizations to ensure unity of effort
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience engaging and collaborating with senior executive-level officials to influence strategic outcomes
  • 3+ years of experience coordinating total force structure programs between Reserve and Active Components to optimize force readiness
  • Experience at a Combatant Command or Service Headquarters developing and delivering strategic briefings to General Officers and senior executives
  • Experience with interpreted strategic guidance, such as NSS, NDS, or NMS and applied insights to shape operational design and campaign planning across joint and combined environments
  • Experience with Integrated Global Force Management principles and guidance, such as GFMIG, GFMAP, GEF, JSCP, or CPG to enable accurate force allocation and integrated planning in support of Combatant Command requirements
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree
  • Graduate of a Military Advanced Warfare School, including SAW, SAMS, MAWS, SAASS, or JAWS

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
