Google Cloud Platform Architect and Engineer

The Opportunity:

Everyone is trying to "harness the power of the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As an experienced cloud computing and DevOps architect, you know how to take advantage of cloud capabilities. Here, you'lloversee our team of expertsand usecutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms toguideyour clientsas theymodernize their Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We're looking for someone like you tohelp evangelize and architect a multi-cloud solution to help support our clients in the healthcare space.

You'll collaborate closely with fellow architects and engineers toarchitect, build, and deliver multi-cloud solution components. You'll have the chance tobroaden your experiencewithin a DevOps framework tolead, build, and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission.With access to our internal Azure, AWS, OCI, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) labs, you'll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our client's challenges, and you'll partner with stakeholders andleadyour team to deliver and scale the right technical solutions. Whether modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications, building new ones from scratch, or leading continuous integration and deployment, you'll have the latest tech and brightest teammates at your fingertips.

You Have:

  • 7+ years of experience in cloud architecture with GCP, including FedRAMP and FedRAMP+ environments
  • 5+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary solutioning for cloud-based efforts, including automation, observability, and monitoring
  • Experience leading architecture for large engagements, including legacy migration and cloud system deployments
  • Experience designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud-based systems in GCP
  • Experience with GCP cloud-native data and AI services leveraging serverless architectures for data processing such as BigQuery, Dataplex, Vertex, and Gemini
  • Experience with DevOps best practices, including reusable Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with GitOps and Terraform, continuous integration or continuous delivery (CI/CD), and containerization or orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes, or Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE)
  • Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for cloud-based solutions, network architecture, and security principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Public Trust
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience using AWS services, including AWS Glue, Amazon S3, and Amazon RDS
  • Experience in healthcare or the public health domain
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Google Cloud Platform Certification such as Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Developer Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $112,800.00 to $257,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
