Low Voltage Technician Company: TEKsystems Inc. Location: Nashville, TN Type: 6-Month Contract with Possible Extension Compensation: Competitive Salary + Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k Benefits About the Role TEKsystems Inc. is seeking a skilled* Low Voltage Technician* to join our team in the Greater Nashville Area. This position offers a 6-month contract with the potential for permanent hire, along with comprehensive benefits and a collaborative work environment. Responsibilities * Install, maintain, and repair telecommunications and low-voltage systems. * Pull, route, and terminate Cat5/Cat6 cabling for voice and data networks. * Perform punch-downs on patch panels and jacks. * Mount and install network racks, cable trays, and related hardware. * Test and troubleshoot cabling for continuity and performance. * Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and inventory. * Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus. * Basic knowledge of low-voltage systems and cabling standards. * Experience with Cat5/Cat6 cable installation and termination. * Familiarity with punch-down tools, cable testers, and hand tools. * Ability to read and follow blueprints or wiring diagrams. * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. * Excellent communication and teamwork skills. * Ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $24.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
