OVERVIEW:

The Dining Hall Manager oversees Wait Staff and ensures the Dining Hall is clean, organized, and running efficiently before, during, and after meals. This role ensures staff complete daily tasks and that campers and staff are well-served during meals and snack times.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Supervise and support Wait Staff during and outside mealtimes to ensure smooth dining operations
  • Guide campers and staff during meals and snacks, ensuring efficiency and cleanliness
  • Collaborate with the Assistant Camp Director to resolve Wait Staff issues and assist with scheduling alongside the Food Service Manager
  • Participate in USDA meal counts as directed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the Staff Kitchen and dining hall, including decorations and supplies
  • Lead or assist with camp songs, evening programs, campfires, and late-night supervision
  • Support opening and closing day procedures and report maintenance needs to the Facilities Manager
  • Foster positive relationships with Cabin Leaders and campers to enhance the camp experience
  • Actively contribute to the spiritual development of campers and staff
  • Model Christ-like behavior in all interactions
  • Immediately report any suspected child abuse to the Assistant Camp Director
  • Other related duties as required


All staff may be called upon at any time to assist in the total operation of the camp. You are expected to join in all evening programs; absences are excused only through the Assistant Camp Director.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:



  • Minimum 18 years of age (required)
  • Current CPR/First Aid/AED Certification (required)
  • Camping experience either as a camper or staff (preferred)


SKILLS AND ABILITIES:



  • Must posses leadership capabilities for working with campers, teens and other staff
  • Ability to creatively motivate and encourage the dining room crew
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Ability to organize, lead, and deliver devotionals in front of a group of people
  • Ability to maintain good rapport and communication with other staff members effectively
  • Must be of good moral character
  • Must have a personal and growing relationship with the Lord

  • Modern Office Equipment and Relevant Software


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis
  • Ability to grasp, push and pull objects and tools
