Industrial Engineer

Genesis10 is seeking an Industrial Engineer for an on-site position located in San Antonio, TX. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with potential for extension.

Pay Rate: $31.00- $40.00/hr

Summary:

The Industrial Engineer will support engineering projects by developing technical drawings that help translate engineering and architectural designs into detailed plans. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a manufacturing environment, working with multidisciplinary teams to improve processes and manage project deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to clarify design specifications.
• Create and update 2D and 3D layouts using AUTOCAD software.
• Place and follow up on purchase orders for new tooling and equipment.
• Check design drawings to verify accuracy and adherence to industry standards.
• Analyze design sketches and specifications to create technical drawings.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project reviews between departments and stakeholders.
• Create and use follow-up sheets to monitor and guide the completion of activities.
• Support prototype and pilot build constructions.
• Perform analysis and prepare executive presentations using MS Office.

Requirements:

• Engineering degree is required (Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing strongly preferred).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive working knowledge of AUTOCAD software for 2D and 3D layouts.
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as line balancing, PFMEA, process mapping, and standard work.
• Experience with manufacturing tooling and equipment installation.
• Advanced mathematical skills and the ability to perform physical measurements to create layouts.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure drawings are accurate.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Time management skills to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines.
• Knowledge of engineering practices and industry standards.
• Proficiency with MS Office to perform analysis and prepare presentations.
• Availability to work overtime and/or weekends as required by project deliverables.

Desired Skills:

• Previous experience in the Automotive/Truck industry.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
