- Create and analyze designs, run simulations and test how the equipment functions post-repairs and system manipulation, and interacts with connected systems.
- Analyze, diagnose, and recommend solutions for mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures on equipment.
- Monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot, and perform timely repairs on various mechanical equipment within the facility, including but not limited to, conveyor systems, sensors, safety guards, elevators, and/or catwalks.
- Interpret work orders and specifications todetermineif machines and equipment and recommend replacement, repair, or general maintenance as needed.
- Carry out routine inspections of equipment and systems following established standard operating procedures and checklists to ensureoptimalperformance.
- Review instructions and interpret blueprints to ensure that project plans follow test specifications and procedures and meetobjectives.
- Research, produce, and assemble mechanical parts forproductionmachinery and equipment.
- Investigate, recognize, diagnose equipment failures toidentifyfaulty operation, and recommend remedies todeterminecorrective action by interpreting complex blueprints, piping, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Design/ Redesign, Assemble/Disassemble, Install/Transport industrial mechanical equipment using analysis, prototypes, and computer-aided design.
- Follow and adhere to food and workplace safety policies and proceduresestablishedby Butterball, LLC.
- Communicate, at a high level, with plant operations to ensure the machinery and equipment operate safely and efficiently.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Mechatronics or closelyrelatedfield.
- Understand and troubleshoot control voltage and line voltage.
- Understanding andutilizingindustry electrical prints.
- Effective PLC maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Understands Vacuum theory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Follow diagrams, operationmanualsand manufacturing instructions.Must be able to troubleshoot malfunctions intimelymanner and find resolution.
- Must pass a background check, drug screen.
- Mustbe able to read and write.
- Need to be familiarinSPC, HACCP, GMP'S SSOP'S and USDA.
- Computer skills with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to read technical documents and communicate in English.
Physical Demands:
- Constant standing and walking (8 hours or more per day)
- Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more).
- Working from a ladder of raised platform.
- Ability toreasonably multitask.
- Working with electricity, tools, and wiring.
- Completing required paperwork intimelymanner.
- Using material handling equipment as needed.
Working Conditions:
- Work indampand cold environment as needed.
- Work with loud and noisy machinery as needed.
- Work industyenvironment when using spice as needed.
- Work with raw meat as needed.
