Alan B. Miller Medical Center opening in Spring 2026!

A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS' growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.

Pharmacy Clincal Manager

TheClinicalPharmacy Manager is responsible forthe development, supervision, and evaluation of clinical pharmacy services, subject to review and approval by the Director of Pharmacy.Such services are to bein accordance withevidence-based medication use processes and current practice standards. TheClinical Pharmacy Managerwill collaborate with other clinical hospital departments to support a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and ensure that all activities of the department are consistent withoverall hospitalobjectives. The ClinicalPharmacy Managerwillbe responsible forcoordination of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committee and will organize the elements of implementation of all P&T-approved initiatives. The ClinicalPharmacyManagerwill oversee Antimicrobial Stewardship,Opioid Stewardship, and Medication Safetyinitiativesof the department and facility.

The ClinicalPharmacy Managerwill oversee the educational programs of pharmacists, residents, and students, and willassistwith interdisciplinary education within the facility. The ClinicalPharmacy Managerwill collaborate with UHS Corporate Clinical Pharmacy Services.The ClinicalPharmacy Managerwill work in conjunction with the Director of Pharmacy to ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory andaccreditingagencies. The ClinicalPharmacy Managerwill work with the Director of Pharmacy on planning, implementation, and evaluation of departmental performance improvement activities and medication safety actions. The ClinicalPharmacy Managermay be called upon to perform departmental staffing duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree (Pharm.D.) required.
  • PGY-1HospitalPharmacy Residency training preferred.

Experience:

  • At leastfive yearsclinical hospitalexperiencerequired, including care of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
  • IV Room Compounding experiencerequired.
  • Chemotherapy patient evaluation, monitoring, and preparation experiencerequired.
  • Proficiencywith automated dispensing cabinet functionality and reporting systems.
  • Knowledgeable of andcomplies withlaws, rules and regulations that govern the practice ofPharmacy.
  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Regulatory compliance experience, including USP 797/800,preferred.

Skills:

  • Strongcommunicationskills, both verbal and written.
  • Stronginterpersonalskillswith patients, coworkers, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Ability tomaintainconfidentiality.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple and changing priorities.
  • Ability tomaintaindepartment workflow and provide oversight and direction topharmacists andpharmacy technicians.
  • Ability to escalate safety concerns, propose action plans, andfollowChain-of-Command.

License / Certification:

  • Current PharmacistLicense in theState of Florida isrequired.
  • FloridaConsultant Pharmacist license preferred.
  • Board Certification preferred.
