High Level Overview of Role

Are you ready for the next level in your career? The Corporate Procurement Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing procurement operations within a newly established department at DataBank. This individual will manage end-to-end procurement processes, collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders, and ensure compliance with due diligence protocols. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a changing and growing environment.

Ability to negotiate cost and contract terms and conduct RFP's with supervision. Vendor onboarding and basic vendor management. Manage contracts in our new CMS (contract management system). Proactively track contracts ahead of renewal dates. Assist the Director of Procurement Management with establishing policies, procedures, and training.

Responsibilities:

Procurement Operations

  • Collaborate on implementing new procurement procedures, policies, training and ensure adherence to new protocols
  • Manage and prioritize purchase request queues
  • Assist with vendor selection and onboarding
  • Negotiate purchase costs and contract terms (with supervision/guidance)
  • Oversee and manage applicable due diligence reviews for each purchase
  • Recommend process improvements for efficiency
  • Support policy changes and training initiatives
  • Light special project management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Stakeholder/Vendor Engagement

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal data center teams, requesters, reviewers, due diligence approvers, and vendors
  • Communicate clearly and set realistic expectations with all parties while providing excellent customer service
  • Vendor onboarding
  • Conduct RFP's (with supervision/guidance)

Contract Management

  • Track and maintain contracts using new CMS
  • Advise users on renewal notices and next steps
  • Collect and maintain Certificates of Insurance (COIs)

Qualifications:

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive, Sharepoint, Adobe Acrobat, Slack, DocuSign, and Zoom
  • Treat communication and active listening as a top priority and create transparencies within the process
  • Trustworthy and reliable work ethic
  • Ability to adapt procurement process changes on a case-by-case basis
  • Comfortable working within a team and independently, navigates change well while adapting in a rapidly growing company
  • Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders, team, approvers and vendors
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Independent thinker with proactive approach to new process improvement to increase efficiency

Preferred Experience

  • Familiarity with data center industry
  • Experience with Netsuite, Tipalti, Productiv, Monday.com, and Navan
  • Procurement certification
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • Eager to learn new skills and leverage AI to add efficiencies in everyday work
