What you'll do

Provide daily schedule updates, issues and exception reporting, interacting with various engineering, Managed Services, Logistics, finance teams as well as daily interactions with site managers and our direct program customer.

  • Manages development and quality delivery of all Project documents and deliverables while adhering to project cost, scope and schedule requirements
  • Clearly identify gaps in project delivery - time, cost, resource, deliverables, and escalate as appropriate
  • Developing and maintaining project plans to track critical path tasks, dependencies, and requirements through the project lifecycle
  • Responsible for the overall management, planning, developing, ongoing maintenance, and directing implementation of the network upgrades as well as new installations
  • Manage and progress track against those schedules as well as manage project budgets that meet Program guidelines
  • Coordinate with the site installation vendors for timing, execution and proper closeout of individual projects
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in various stages of completion across multiple countries
  • Timely and effective completion will provide an improved quality of life for military service members that utilize our facilities around the world
  • Candidate will work closely with Viasat engineering, finance, contracts and management to ensure a successful deployment and timely completion as well as ongoing support

The day-to-day

What you'll need

  • 10+ years' experience in Project/Program Management experience in Telecom deployment
  • Experience in telecommunications project delivery of fiber optic infrastructure, Copper Plant and Wi-Fi/Cellular deployment
  • Experience in managing large scale, multi-site deployments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • US Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required
  • Ability to travel up to 50% both domestically and internationally

Salary range

$104,500.00 - $165,000.00 / annually.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $125,000.00- $188,000.00/ annually
