The Prepper plays a key role in the vehicle reconditioning process by preparing vehicles for paint application. This includes sanding, masking, priming, and ensuring surfaces are clean and properly prepped to meet quality standards. The Prepper works closely with paint technicians and body repair teams to maintain workflow efficiency and deliver high-quality results.

What You'll Do:

  • Perform sanding, masking, and priming of vehicle surfaces.
  • Inspect and clean surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint.
  • Mix and apply primers and sealers as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Follow safety protocols and shop procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with painters and supervisors to coordinate workflow.


Who You Are

You're all about accuracy and the value of attention to detail. You take pride in a day's work, and love working in an environment where your skills are respected and developed. You have the following qualifications:

Minimum:

  • 0-2 years of experience in body shop experience.
  • Safe drivers are needed; a valid driver's license is required.


Preferred:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent.


USD 14.71 - 22.12 per hour

Compensation:

Hourly base pay rate is $14.71 - $22.12/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Benefits:

Employees are eligible to receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off every month and seven paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Employees are also eligible for additional paid time off in the form of bereavement leave, time off to vote, jury duty leave, volunteer time off, military leave, and parental leave.
