Job Description




As a Security Guard - Armed Government Bike Patrol in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an armed patrol officer, where you'll play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a government location. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to support a secure environment, and interact with the public while delivering outstanding customer service. This post also requires driving responsibilities, providing you with a dynamic and engaging workday as you contribute to the protection of the community.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing appropriate conflict resolution and communication skills.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report all incidents, observations, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed during incidents or critical situations.
  • Remain alert and prepared to respond to any security-related concerns or emergencies that may arise in the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be able to ride a bike.
  • Possess a valid driver's license with Class B and passenger endorsement.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
