Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols throughout the shelter location. Your visible presence and commitment to exceptional customer service will support a welcoming environment for all. You'll play a key role in monitoring assigned areas, managing access control, and communicating with staff and residents, all while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, including when appropriate, responding to emergencies.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the shelter environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and address concerns as they arise.
• Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity around the location to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with shelter staff and visitors to support a welcoming and orderly environment.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client protocols while maintaining a professional presence on site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
