Job Description




As a Security Officer - Media Site Patrol Driver in Markham, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your visible presence helps to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment for personnel and visitors.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter, helping to deter unwanted activity and maintaining a visible presence.
  • Monitor access points and report any unusual or suspicious activity according to established protocols.
  • Collaborate with site staff and/or local authorities as needed to address incidents or concerns.
  • Document observations, incidents, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.
  • Remain attentive to environmental conditions and potential security-related risks within a technology, media, and telecommunications setting.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
