JOB FAMILY TITLE: Technician

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

PAY RANGE

The base pay for this Job Family generally ranges between $26 - $35/hr. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Repair and maintain, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications, industrial machinery such as conveyor systems, machine tools, metal fabricating machine tools, lubrication systems and production equipment. Assist and direct other maintenance employees with problem solving equipment failures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:(Other duties may be assigned)

1. Visually inspect and listen to production machinery to locate causes of malfunctions.
2. Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment or other problems and examine form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
3. Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using precision measuring instruments.
4. Suggest and implement changes to production equipment.
5. Operate a variety of lifting equipment to move, install, and modify parts and equipment.
6. Fabricate and modify complex equipment as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Safety first mindset.
• Experience maintaining production equipment in a manufacturing environment.
• Possession and usage of basic and specialized tools to perform related duties.
• Independent worker with ability to prioritize tasks based on business needs.
• Comfortable working in environmental extremes (heat, cold, noise, dust).
• Ability to communicate clearly with coworkers.
• Advanced math skills.
• Advanced computer literacy.
• Physical requirements to include but not limited to:
  
  
  
  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs frequently.
  • Ability to stand for an 8-hour shift.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Stoop, bend, kneel, climb, crouch, or crawl.
  
  
  
  

DESIRABLE EDUCATIONAL / WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Degree or certification as an industrial mechanic or in a related field.
• 4+ years' experience as a mechanic in a manufacturing setting.
• Expertise in trouble shooting, diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on punch presses.
