What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter, maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized activities.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points, verifying identification and controlling entry as required by site policies.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or unusual activities in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as needed based on site protocols.
  • Remain alert and aware of surroundings at all times to help to deter potential threats or disturbances within the government location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • At least six months of armed security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
