Overview
At IPG Photonics, our Vacuum Tool Operators play a critical role in manufacturing highpowered laser components. Using advanced vacuum tools, operators deposit thin films essential to the performance and quality of our laser systems. This position offers significant opportunities for growth within a global leader in photonics technology.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate vacuum deposition tools with strong attention to detail, following established operating procedures.
  • Inspect and evaluate parts for defects using defined criteria, including color differentiation.
  • Prepare materials and components for production in accordance with documented processes.
  • Maintain accurate production and process records as directed.
  • Handle small, delicate parts with care to ensure quality and prevent damage.


Required Qualifications

  • Strong armhand steadiness, handeye coordination, and fine motor control.
  • Comfortable working with small and fragile components.
  • Experience in manufacturing or handson technical work (e.g., auto repair, construction, toolbased trades).
  • Ability to accurately distinguish colors.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work overtime when needed.
  • Ability to work carefully, consistently, and identify errors in work.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with PCs, Microsoft Windows, and Microsoft Excel.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Experience operating vacuum tools or vacuum deposition equipment.

Pay Range:


The pay range on this posting applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location posted, the applicable range could differ. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.



Other Compensation: Employees in this role are eligible for additional rewards which could include:
