Job Title: Aerospace Instructional designer

Location: Everett, WA 98204

Duration: 6-12 months, possible FTE opportunity

Shift Schedule: 6:00 AM- 2:30 PM

Pay Rate: $49/hr. on W2 without benefits

Role & Responsibilities:

  • The BDS team is looking to bring on 4 content development specialists to perform the development of course curriculum for their team's manager and student training guides. These specialists will need to sit onsite out of one of the team's primary locations (Everett, Huntsville, Masa, St. Louis, or Auburn) to assist. Defines project scope and recommends deliverables, budget and resources. Oversees curriculum development, review of course content and instructional materials, testing and system access requirements. Identifies business specific learning objectives and adapts curriculum content and delivery methods. Performs as a lead instructor in a specialized content area.
  • Deploys development tools and monitors implementation. Identifies potential issues that impact performance and leads the performance analysis and development of improvement recommendations. Performs development and creation of course curriculum, presentations, training documents for teams and students. Partners with site leadership, Senior Mgt, and site HR leads to address training curriculum, create and deploy new hire assessments, new hire schedules, emergent needs, define engineering specification requirements for new projects and day-to-day business.


Required Skills:

  • Instructional design skills (3-5 years)
  • Technical background in electrical, aviation, mechanical, or structures
  • Familiar with structural system designs (ADDIE)
  • Training and/or instructing background


Education / Experience:

  • Typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
